I plan to move to New York this summer, taking these five goals with me.

Really, I'm just building up from what I've already begun.

Freelance editing presence

Establish my freelance editor presence within an editing community by making more of an online presence at social media sites like She Writes. I want to especially target unpublished women writers and LGBT authors for my editorial perspective.

Keep the PDXX Collective going

Expand the readership of the PDXX Collective by having readings, implementing a new feature on the website, and publishing an anthology of writing from the Collective. Also, our receiving some more press would help.

Feminist Super Pac-ing

Reach out to established women writers and feminist “stakeholders.” I think that connecting PDXX with other feminist outlets is my next step this year. No feminist is an island. I would especially like to use the feminist Super Pac leverage to connect with celebrity feminists like Kristen Schaal, Tina Brown, and Caitlin Moran (to name a few).

Stay connected to the Learner Web

Support a New York City connection to the Learner Web. Most of the computer labs we set up around the country come into existence through word-of-mouth and I would like to help this wonderful project grow.

The Annals of Pretension

I want to dedicate time to my own writing projects. I have a few bread-and-butter short stories I want to revise and also a collection of linked stories that I’m eager to begin on.
